Dr. Charles D. Whitworth is a native of the city of Madison and has served the Madison area with veterinary services since 1981. He is a graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and the Madison County Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Whitworth is married and has six children. His wife, Sherry has a professional dog training business called "How To Talk Dog." His daughter, Allison, and her husband Fred live in Atlanta, GA and have one son named Cooper. His oldest son, Dr. Chase Whitworth, is a 2008 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and is currently practicing in Birmingham. Mark and Chad are both currently at Auburn University studying hard and working on making decisions as to what profession they will pursue. Taylor, 13 and Hunter, 7 still have a few years to decide what career they will follow.
